Senior Accounting Specialist
Job purpose-To provide staff support to the fiscal department.

Duties and responsibilities
Fiscal:Responsible for assisting with and understanding all agency fiscal functions, including: cash flow analysis, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
The largest portion of this position would involve monthly vouchers and fiscal cost reports for funders that would be submitted under the approval of the CFO and CEO.
Other responsibilities include equipment inventory control, and general ledger entries.
Work closely with the CFO, Program Managers, CEO and Auditors to complete fiscal duties.
Agency: Attend department and agency meetings as assigned; other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, or closely related field; minimum two years accounting experience, preferable with non-profit, grant funded programs; sensitivity to the issues of victimization and its prevention; availability for occasional work evenings and weekends.
Must complete victim services training and an additional ten hours of ongoing, professional education each subsequent calendar year.
Working conditions
Work is primarily indoors with some driving/walking required.
The work is highly confidential and sensitive in nature.
Occasional work evenings and weekends maybe required.
