Accounts Receivable Payment Posting Clerk

Position: Accounts Receivable Payment Posting Clerk Status: Full-time, Hourly Non Exempt Hourly Rate: $18.

00 Description Overview: Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Job Duties: (Essential Functions include but not limited to) Match Payment receipt information with appropriate customer invoice and accounts receivable.
Notifies appropriate departments of account discrepancies- complete reconciliation documentation.
Notifies department of invalid or unauthorized deductions by following the appropriate procedures Complete open item reconciliation as request Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Provide clerical support to the department when work flow dictates Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED certificate Associate Degree (preferred) At least 1 year of experience in a related billing or clerical position Ability to process a high volume of work Data entry and typing skills Keen attention to detail Possess valid NYS driver license The ability to lift and carry 50lbs Ability to sit for periods up to three hours Ability to work Overtime This list of requirements, duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive but is merely the most accurate list for the current job.
