is a full service trucking company contracted by 84 Lumber to provide a delivery service to their customer base.
We are currently looking for a Class B CDL Flatbed Driver experience based out of the Kirkwood location.
*\*\*IMMEDIATE OPENING TO QUALIFIED CANDIDATE\*\**
We are in need of a professional driver with a good attitude, a history of reliability, and good customer service to both 84 Lumber and their customer base.
This position will report to both 84 Lumber store management and an Area Manager employed by Wil-Sites Truck Lines.
This position includes operation of a truck mounted forklift.
Previous experience with these types of equipment is excellent, but we will properly train a qualified applicant.
* Transport finished goods from distribution center to job sites using Moffett forklift.
* Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
* Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
* Collect and verify delivery instructions
* Report defects, accidents or violations
*Skills*
* Proven work experience as a truck driver
* Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
* Ability to drive long hours
* Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
* No recent moving or driving violations
* Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
* Valid class B license and DOT card
