Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP is seeking a Conflicts Administrator.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and detail oriented individual for this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to assist attorneys with their compliance duties in a fast-paced environment researching and analyzing data associated with potential new matters.
The Conflict Administrator works closely with all law firm attorneys and staff to identify possible ethical and business-related conflicts of interest.
This position processes new business intake requests to ensure they meet Firm policies.
The role is critical to identifying potential risks, summarizing and communicating potential conflicts and facilitating the receipt of the necessary approvals as part of the new business process.
This position requires critical thinking, attention to detail, decisive judgment and decision-making skills to identify potential issues with bringing on new business to the Firm.
*Essential Job Functions* * Understand and perform the analysis and research process on all potential new matters.
* Verify that all preliminary searching is complete, consistent, and accurate and that all Firm conflict procedures have been followed.
* Verify that all pending new matters have been entered completely, consistently and accurately and that all Firm procedures have been followed.
* Create well-organized written analysis for attorneys.
* Process requests for conflict searches, performing the necessary research with accuracy.
* Follow up on conflict issues with law firm attorneys and administrators when necessary.
* Collaborate with administrative team on new business, new employees and projects, attention to deadlines and time-sensitive issues.
* Respond to requests for information with accurate responses promptly.
* Contribute to process, procedure, and technology improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
* Assist in the development and training of law firm attorneys and staff in the conflicts process.
* Be available for overtime as needed.
* Process technology billing between Director of Technology and Accounting to ensure timely processing of invoices and proper allocation to general ledger.
* Electronic billing as required to facilitate firm client requirements.
* Additional duties as assigned.
*Requirements* * At least two years of related experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without error, set priorities, and accommodate rush requests.
* Knowledge of legal terms and legal matters to determine whether information submitted includes all required related parties.
* Substantial analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
* Superior communication and customer service skills, exercising courtesy and diplomacy.
* Ability to think creatively about new solutions and drive best practices.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.
00 - $27.
